We youth must step up as leaders and inform our community about what we want to see change in our schools. No one can speak as well for youth, as we can for ourselves. Having a Youth Leadership Council will be exciting for us all; it will be especially helpful for us youth. We gain skills that will help us to become better leaders in our community, including communication, public speaking, networking, and organization skills. We will learn how to properly organize so we can make sure all youth in Alameda County have a rich and full arts education. We will also help school officials learn more effective and successful strategies for adding the arts to our education.
