Background
When Congress reconvenes in Fall 2010, they will be considering the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. On March 13 2010, the Obama administration released a blueprint document that identified its priorities for the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Unfortunately, many of the proposals included in the Blueprint are based on federal education systems put in place under the George W. Bush administration’s No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act.
