The Alliance for Arts Learning Leadership, founded by the Alameda County Office of Education, is a collaborative network of the County Office of Education, the Alameda County Arts Commission, eighteen Alameda County school districts, their administrators, teachers and arts specialists, community arts partners, representatives from higher education and parents. We work together to create systemic change and develop public understanding about the essential role of arts learning in a high quality education for every child, in every school, every day.

We, The Alliance for Arts Learning Leadership:

Stand by our mission to ensure that the arts are an essential component of a meaningful and complete education for all children in Alameda County.

Focus on three main areas of work to advance arts learning in Alameda County and the state of California: “Teaching and Learning,” “Community,” and “Action”.

Advocate working together with research-based thinking frameworks to create a common language around arts learning between arts teachers and the arts and education communities.

Mobilize a team comprised of a diverse group of arts educators who lead Alliance projects.

Connect funders and partners to create a community of partnerships between local, state and national leaders and supporters of arts learning.
